Do not take selfies.
According to a study by Tom van Laer, the angle of view contributes significantly to what people think when they look at a picture. If they are not involved in what is happening in the picture, it appeals to them less. The viewer's point of view therefore determines the thoughts and feelings about the picture. Pictures in which a person is acting are more interesting. Most self-portraits show only that: a person. According to van Laer, however, this is a bad strategy to get the viewer's attention.
